Hatching Chick- Easter art/craft for preschool or elementary

Submitted by Kelly A.

You need:
-an egg pattern
-a chick pattern (basically an oval)
-construction paper
-paint(optional)

Have students trace patterns of egg and chick, then cut out.  For the wings, students need to trace and cut their hand prints. Glue Chick onto back of egg, and wings onto back of chick. Add eyes (create your own or use googly eyes).  A simple beak and feathers on head can be made with orange construction paper.  Decorate the egg if you wish.  This egg was decorated with water color paints.  A cotton ball was used instead of a brush.
